So after AOL made such a fuss over the name of Gaim, the popular instant messenging client decided to change the name to Pidgin. Along with the new name came a new icon and even a new interface coupled with some under the hood changes.
On the left is the new verson and on the right is a screenshot of the old version. I prefer the older version as far as the interface goes. Also, it has been noted across several sites that the new version is somewhat of a beta and that there are some stability issues and certain plugins will not work with Pidgin. It is worth a try though.
