I’m excited to officially announce that I will be a part of the upcoming Chevrolet Volt Unplugged tour! After numerous calls, emails, and an amazing meet & greet with Weber Shandwick and General Motors team members, I’m honored to be chosen as the Social Media Specialist to travel on the Volt Unplugged Tour.
Volt Unplugged Tour
Normally, you need an album, band, and entourage to tour. General Motors is doing things differently for Volt Unplugged. We’ll be bringing Chevrolet Volts and a team of brilliant people to 12 cities across the U.S. over the next 6 weeks. The Chevrolet Volt has been in the media for nearly 3 years. With the Volt Unplugged tour, you’ll finally have the opportunity to experience the latest innovations in automotive technology up close and personal in a production Volt. Don’t believe me? Sign-up for a ride-and-drive and experience the Chevy Volt for yourself.
My Role: Social Media Specialist
I will be found at any given point in time of the tour behind an iPhone, FlipCam, laptop, or maybe even the wheel of the Volt bringing you updates from the ground floor in each city. There’ll be plenty of ways for you to keep up including via the following Chevrolet’s social media sites:
- ChevroletVoltage.com (see “Unplugged” Tab)
- Chevrolet Volt on Posterous
- Chevrolet Volt on Foursquare
- @ChevyVolt on Twitter
- Chevrolet Volt on Facebook
Disclosure:
GM is a client and I will be compensated for my time and efforts over the next 6 weeks. My travel and lodging is also being covered by GM and partners like the Marriott hotel chain. Personally, I think this is a great opportunity to experience something new, fresh, and with a twist in technology that I haven’t seen in a long time.
